How do you start watching a video with smoogs? (Testnet version)

So you have come to a website that has a video locked with smoogs. First time users will need to add some balance to their smoogie. If you are not a first timer, then you can just start watching :)

Trying out the smoogs demo

If you have your testnet wallet ready with some coins, let’s try out the smoogs video player.

Step 1:

Go to smoogs.io

When you first come on the website, the player will be locked.

Step 2:

Click anywhere on the player to top up your smoogs account.

The first part of the funding process will ask you to enter a refund address so we can refund you in the future. Just in case you decide not to spend your money or if you have anything remaining.

This address is basically the ‘Receive’ address on your wallet and looks like this — myobETdkYBKtJ6Lj3sSNaqAn1koZhpPTiT

Step 3:

The next stage is when you send smoogs some coins. Don’t worry we will not be holding any of your money. This money will be held on the blockchain and at the end of 3 days or when you refund (whichever comes first), smoogs gets paid what they are owed and you will get your change back.

Use the ‘Send’ part of your wallet to send us some coins. For the demo you only need about USD 2.

Step 4:

Once the payment is authorised, takes a few seconds, then you are ready to start watching. Click Play. The first loading takes a few seconds so don’t be alarmed.
